DVCA Summer Academy
Take part when DVCA’s Summer Academy launches this August. The academy is a 3-day course and is aimed towards students and young professionals to give a deeper insight into private equity.
As a participant, you will gain knowledge on various topics within the private equity as well as understanding how the different segments within and around private equity operate, such as private equity funds, venture funds and business angels, and the surrounding core areas; tax, law and strategy. Furthermore, the academy serves as a good opportunity to further strengthen your networks across studies and professional relations.
Who will you meet?
At the academy, there will be presenters and speakers representing the industry from various areas, i.e. investors, entrepreneurs, lawyers and CEO’s.
This year’s Summer Academy will have its focus on subjects such as the ecosystem, the industry in the media, talents within the industry, as well as startups and business angels.
What do we expect?
We expect high engagement from the participants and active participation in discussions and debates.
It is mandatory to participate all days during the academy.
All participants who complete DVCA’s Summer Academy will receive a diploma as proof of participation and will also become a part of the DVCA Alumni.

How do I participate?
Send us a motivational letter (max. 1 page). Tell us why you wish to participate and include your resume, transcript of grades and other relevant documents. We assess every applicant based on the documents submitted to us, and from those, we select a maximum of 30 participants.
When is the deadline for submission of the application?
The deadline for submission of the application is June 15, 2019, and you will hear from us no later than July 1, 2019.
How much does it cost?
Participating in DVCA Summer Academy is free of charge, but we do expect high engagement from the participants.
Do I receive ECTS points for my participation?
The DVCA does not offer ECTS points for participation at the academy. But you will receive a diploma as proof of participation, and you can attach the diploma to your future job applications. Furthermore, you will get the opportunity to expand your professional network and become a part of DVCA Alumni.
When and where does the Summer Academy take place?
This year’s Summer Academy will take place on August 14-16, 2019 in Copenhagen. More information and schedule will follow with notice of admission.
